The
mapping module of HiRiide is set up to work with Microsoft's MapPoint.
If you have the software click below for a sample map. I'm an Aggie,
so all sample crossings are in College Station, Texas. The software
allows the user complete mapping functions, including zoom and search.
The crossings are linked with the database, so changes to the information in
the database shows on the map. Clicking on the crossing pushpin brings
up the corresponding data in the HiRiide program.
To view a sample map using Microsoft MapPoint, click here.
Choose to open the map
when asked. To view more information about a crossing, right click on
the pin and click "Show Information". To view the HiRiide information
for the crossing, click on the link shown and choose "No" when asked about
saving information. To find a crossing, click on the "Find" link and
then click on the "Place/Data" tab where you can enter the crossing ID
number.
If you do not have
a copy of MapPoint on your computer, click on the link
below for a screen shot to show the MapPoint
capabilities. HiRiide can also be linked to other
mapping software programs if preferred. You
can click on the crossing pushpin to bring up the
corresponding data in the HiRiide program.
