Flipping across the pages of the ancient flesh-bound book, you come across a section you had not noticed before. Carefully scrawled in scarlet ink, is a section entitled:
The Followers Of V'Tull
Formerly known as Z'Tarr, "The Slayer" has been a manifest of every warrior's dreams. As the god of Warfare and minion of Domination, the Champion of Lornon is one of the most powerful gods in existance. So powerful is his influence, that dedicated masters of the Order of Voln can actually have dreams (nightmares by some?) of him and his armies. (for future reference, this will be called the "Slayer's Dream".)
Born with a righteous and obsessive vision of life, V'tull has proven his strength in battle countless times. In war, it is said that his eyes will glow fiery red, draining the very will of the foe to fight. Fear of him is so great, that many areas of Elanthia have simply banned any public display of devotion to him. Of all the gods, it is said the he 'possesses' mortals the most, in that he will lend his guidance to his chosen ones during a battle, should he deem them worthy, and the situation necessary. Said warrior will berserk with such fury, that their eyes will become as black as night, and their movements swift and powerful.
Trained in every form of weapon and art of combat, V'tull's weapon of choice is that of the scimitar. His devotion to teaching his advocates his martial arts grows; his love for war limited by no bounds. The blood of his foe so fills him with joy, that he need not resort to the shameful tactics of Kai for pleasure.
Many false tales of V'tull arise, mostly from the same baronies and lands that fear him so greatly as to ban his worship. Such tales become twisted and deformed, as priests of Lorminstra, She of the Offering Plate, are so fond of doing. Most noticable are the manipulated tales of the Griffon sword, and Twilight's Dawn. A Bard's creativity has few limitations, but few bards are worthy enough to sing the songs of V'tull. Instead, you will hear them performing the pathetically boring tales of Eonak and Kai, the "Lesser Gods of Battle". Many parts, nay, full sections of stories of V'tull's Greatness have been left out to further the ends of the Lords of Liabo. Be weary of such singers, such profits of pyrite, as they are concerned about the size of their money-bags, not the will of the gods!
Many rumors have arisen concerning V'tull. Such contain:
o V'tull's chosen, "The Mouth of V'tull" has not been slain, but resides in a lair not far from the Eye of V'tull on Teras
o An esscence of each of the 4 true dark gods lies within the Griffon Sword, subdued by the location (Lorminstra's temple)
You see V'Tull, the God of War.![]()
He appears to be ageless, has unkempt, long silver hair, blazing red eyes, and marble
white skin.
He is in perfect health.
He is holding a pure black scimitar etched with the word "Slayer" in silver in
his right hand.
He is wearing a suit of crimson full plate heavily stained in blood, and a red tower
shield emblazoned with a black scimitar.
The Slayer's Dream
A host of armies gather together upon a broad plain and fight a long and bloody battle. At its height, a great wizard stands up and with a wave of his staff every soldier dies where they stand. The wizard waves the staff again and the dead armies stand up and begin to move again. You are suddenly overcome by grief and weep for hours. When you look up again at the wizard and the armies, you see him waving his staff and the armies fighting once again. Each one that fell soon rose again. Then you notice the wizard's staff change into a sword and the word "Slayer" enters your mind.
Oddly enough, the main figure in the nightmare appears as a mage. It has been argued that the dream does not relate to V'Tull, but the similarities are too coincidental to be certain. Only one of the Arkati are referred to as the Slayer. Note, the Staff turns into a sword, this might be symbolic of the fact that the Mage itself is merely a facade to greater powers - the Warrior.

From the Temple in Icemule ~
[Hall of the Deathbringers]
The faint light coming through the ice is a filthy black-red. Covering the east wall is a
scene of carnage so bloody that the gorge rises in your stomach at the sight, and an altar
the color of blood sits before it. Death has also visited the west wall, with its black
altar before it, although it is a much quieter manifestation.
Obvious exits: northeast, down.
look at east wall
>The scene on this wall seems to look directly into what remains of a great battle.
Corpses and body parts cover the field in varying stages of dismemberment and the ground
is red with spilled blood. In the center of the picture is a man, taller than any you have
seen. His skin is marble white, and his eyes are black as coal. His armor is so stained
with blood that you cannot guess what its true color might be.
look at red altar
A black scimitar has been painted on the top of the altar. Red blood seems to drip from
it, covering the altar in a wave of red crimson that appears to be all the blood the sword
has ever shed. A steel plaque gleams at the front of the altar.

>It reads:
V'Tull, God of Blood Lust and Combat
From the Grasslands of Teras ~
[Teras Isle, Grasslands]
Low sloping hills stretch away from the river in all directions, rampant with tall yellow
and green clumps of grass. Given the slightest excuse, flocks of pure white birds break
from hidden nests and wheel across the sky, settling again like gently falling snow. To
the north, the land slopes quickly upward to the lower slopes of V'Tull. You also see a
suspension bridge.
Obvious paths: south, east.
From the Volcano of Teras ~
[Depths of V'Tull, Lower Eye]
Composed of living rock, the area around you seems to be in a constant state of
flux. You can see molten lava moving freely behind the semi-transparent surface. It seems
to pulse with a malevolent sentience.
Obvious exits: south, southeast, southwest.
